Message From the President

Thank you for visiting our website.  We hope the information is helpful to you and you find the website easy to surf.

The primary goal of the Panama Canal Society is simple; "To Preserve American Ideals and Canal Zone Friendships".  So what does this mean?  The Panama Canal Society was formed to keep alive friendships that were made while employed for Tom PCS President.jpgthe Panama Canal Company in the former Canal Zone.  Now our common link is being related to someone who worked, attended school, or served in the military and was stationed in the Canal Zone.

We have been able to accomplish this by hosting an annual reunion, having membership meetings throughout the year and publishing the Canal Record.  The annual reunion serves as an annual event filled get-together for Zonians to reunite with old friends.  It is also an opportunity for schoolmates from Cristobal High School, Balboa High School, and Canal Zone College to reunite.  The Canal Record, which is included as part of your annual dues, is a quarterly publication that keeps members informed about fellow Zonians through articles and photos submitted by members.  There is also an annual Directory that is published of all members and their addresses to help everyone keep in touch.

If you are not a member and you meet the eligibility requirements we hope that you will consider joining.  Or, if you joined only to attend your class reunion, that you consider renewing your membership annually.  Help keep the memories of the former Canal Zone alive!

Thank you,
Tom Signature
