This is looking towards the back corner of the project. The rear part of the quarry would be just behind the trees on the left. That red apparatus with the long tube is a blower and its discharge tube. There were various pits dug where the debris of the fallen trees were placed and then torched. The blower stoked the fires in the pits to make sure everything was burned.
